If Harvard can move to 100% online for the 2020-2021 academic year (with their abundant amount of resources), you can expect other universities to follow suit.
If you're in college and it's looking like your next school year will be online, it may be the best time in your life to take a year off. You are likely the only person who truly knows what you currently want out of life. And if you still don't know, my bet is that you won't find it in a typical classroom, which is now decreasing in value, due to missing in-person networking opportunities (I doubt we see a proportionate decrease in tuition, too). It may be the best time to look for an apprenticeship. It may be the best time to do a coding bootcamp. It may be the best time to write, draw, paint, speak, or build what you've been thinking about. I hope to see more people create naively, than theorize perfectly. News: https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/harvard-school-year-coronavirus-1.5639034
